Camposol Golf

Google

Camposol Golf is an urbanization a ten minute drive inland from Mazarron in Murcia, it has everything you need to holiday in south eastern Spain.

Its sister site simply named Camposol lies across the busy MU603, is smaller has a small a 2 storey shopping block with estate agents, bars a computer shop, small grocery store and a fantastic hardware store where you can buy a single nut or bolt, or most anything else if you need to do some work around your holiday home.

The urbanization is made up of sectors A to D, with A and B being closer to the amenities. If you are thinking of buying or renting in the area a walk from the back of D to the Shops and bars will take you a good 40 minutes. This is not relevant until you have to carry your shopping back in the heat of the August sunshine.

Shops and Services

A variety of banks bars and restaurants including Chinese, Italian and Indian, I heard you can get Spanish food somewhere!

There is a bowling alley computer shop, Best Wishes is a card, gift and stationer incorporating a coffee shop, you can also find a clothing shop and yes a fish and chip shop.

You could visit Camposol Golf for a week and not have to go into town, but I would suggest that you use it as a base for trips out to the beaches of the Bahia Mazarron (I have counted 15 between El Mojon and the nudist beach at Bolnuevo), the Sierra Espuna, or the city of Murcia itself.

Camposol Golf is a place to stay if you are looking to explore the region of Murcia or a place to sit by the pool and relax.

Camposol Golf Course

The golf course is now 18 holes with the second nine having been open less than a year and is more challenging than the first. I have read that plans are being made to upgrade the fist nine to bring them to a similar standard of the second.

Green fees start from €28 for nine holes, the club house is of a very good standard with a good menu open to non members, if you are after paella, you need to book in advance or soak up the magnificent mountain views while you wait. A spa hotel is under construction adjoining the golf course and looks quite a substantial investment.

Development

A lot has been said about the urbanization and some of it very negative, I tend to ignore much of what has been posted on the web and rely on what I learn when I visit the area. Camposol Golf is still under construction, it could be several years before the builders have finished their work.

If you are considering buying in the area, read Why buy on camposol. Buy wisely and you will have a decent return on you investment.

The prices are so good the Spanish are now buying as their wealth increases, more and more are able to move out of the towns or afford a second home in the country.

The best way to find out if you would like the area for a holiday home or a place in the sun to retire is to spend a week or two exploring. There are many villas for rent or stay in one of the hotels in Puerto Mazarron. If you are considering buying in the area pay the place a visit, with the builders still on site you must keep and open mind but you must consider Camposol Golf.
